Kroma won the 4-th global tournament. Congratulations! It is the second tournament won by Kroma. This time his main rival was Lokiii. Europe team (GrimJ0ker, StephanieF, Wicky and 5 other guys) retained it's first place, while ProSpectroTEAM and Belarus struggled for 2-nd.
Thanks to all the participants, see you next month! Modified by Cooler on 2013-05-05 09:44:36
Aww man, so many people with the same number of wins as the 2nd place. I'd really like to see a knockout-style tournament next time, where the first one who scores 3 losses is eliminated. Modified by Wicky on 2013-05-04 21:39:02 | StephanieF | 2013-05-04 22:55:32 |
Hey grats Wicky! You and I have brought Europe to victory, not to forget Grim! He had to reach fast his love I guess, so he couldn´t stay.
Congratulations Kroma! (no team?)
I don´t want to play more than 5 rounds (10 games) until the finals. This solution is best for all, because some are tired or have no time. Also concentration goes down, when tournament to long.
Those which reach the finals have to play longer, that´s the prize, but for all other 10 games is enough!

I'm so sorry, but i had to go. It was 9.30 p.m. Saturday :( but i'm so happy for the second team victory! Congrats Kroma, you have best placements in these tournaments.

Well, this is the first time I have had time to finish the tournament. It seems that it is unexpected too long. If we can use some new time setting like 5min+15s in chess, that will be fine I guess.

Yes, it was a good tournament, thanks to all the staff who organized this. Like other player, i think to make a shorter tournament is a good idea. It's
not easy with the online and the number of players but try to manage
other player or make a fast duel tournament for the next time. | StephanieF | 2013-05-05 03:02:54 |

I´m very allergic to time-clocks. I played 14 years in german league, and when I lost, it was mostly because the damn clock made me nervous, so that I just thought on the time and not on my move. I´m sorry for taking more time in our games, but you are one of the favourites, so I needed the time. When playing against Kroma, I saw no way to win, so it was faster. In chess time mode is 40 moves in 2 hours + rest 30 min, so that a game can last 5 hours.
I would like to play exactly this mode again (5 rounds, top 8). So I´m happy if no finals, because I have more time, and also happy if finals, because time doesn´t matter anymore, when playing against you or Kroma... It would be really worse to spend 5 hours like in chess and lose (not reaching the finals). So I´m totally happy with 5 rounds, we should keep it!
Yes Wicky, it´s a bit luck, but next time you will reach the finals, and I can go to the supermarket. A 3-losses-elimination mode is very bad, because your first opponent is maybe Kroma, then you have an unlucky draw, and you are out before even started playing.
So I think it´s ok, that the players in the finals have to sacrifice a bit time...I have no chocolate now until monday, but I won against Roycelin and played with Kroma, which is also sweet.

Bonuses awarded.
i couldn't make it after all congrats to kroma and all who made top8 !! | Jeronimo | 2013-05-06 10:03:57 |
I learnt something: Never to miss Round 1 again.
I was forced to win the 8 remaining games in a row... even with 7 victories I would be out... See player "Scara" player who made 7 victories starting from Round 2... but still the SCORE difference with the other Top players is abysmal.
Then for players who played from Round 1... having 7 victories is almost a sure qualification to Top 8 (because aside Score puts you above the others). Good to know these things now... 7 is the key number. | Wavelength | 2013-05-06 19:29:47 |
Congrats to Kroma for winning a second tourney! That puts you in some seriously rare air, dude. Sounds like the tourney was fun, and I'm really looking forward to getting back into these things. I learnt something: Never to miss Round 1 again.

I've played only 4 rounds too. I made it to the 5th place :o but yep....the first round is too important than last.

Lol, I think, this is a bit confusing for all that have not seen the Tournament...so let me explain:
Grim played 8 games, but then had no time to continue...so lokiii won the 5th round just with a technical 1:0. Grim was in the finals, but couldn´t play, so hibuzo played, but not for him, just as a place 8 as Grim would be out. So at the end 9 reached mathematically the finals, and Grim had still the highest score under these 5, which not reached Semifinal, so place 5.
Btw, would be also same, if you had played all games and lost in Quarterfinals lol...I think too, you had reached the Semifinals but that´s just hypothetic now, so all that counts is, that you have reached place 5 with a minimum on time, and because of this also a nice evening with your love...omg, what a GrimJoker... (yes girls, he has still enough time, for all of you...)
