Hey all,
Does card distribution ever change for a particular player? I'm not a particularly good player, but I was on one of my (many) losing streaks, when I noticed that I hadn't been getting tornado often.
So, out of curiousity, I lose-botted from level 18 - around 14, and out of 40 games, I drew tornado *once*.
My stats are very rusty, but this seems unlikely. What is the overall draw % for tornado?
Thanks,
-Pop
This is actually an interesting question. In the past, people have used scripts to get calculations of the card drawing probabilities, but they always used archmage battles. Theoretically I suppose it's possible something might be different about the draw mechanics when playing online, but I can't see any reason why it would be the case.
Hey HeadphonesGirl,
In a some online games (think the whole match-three game world) the rules tend to change when a user shows certain tendencies that suggest that the user is either getting bored or frustrated.
For example, if a user shows signs of being frustrated in some game (early quits) or if the user did poorly last and then hadn't played in a while, the game may subtly change the users starting position to enable them to get a higher score for a little while.
Presto! Happy gamer, returning gamer.
It's different in a game like this where there is a ladder system. It would surprise me if there were a change to starting cards based on user tendencies.
Note that after those 40 games (down to lvl 13) with a single tornado, I then quit another 20 and got 6 or 7.
So I don't know. It would be nice to know that changes to card distribution are universal, and not on a player by player basis.
There´s definitely a huge luck-bonus for girls! See self...
Cooler build this in to let girls feel like in real life when playing Spectro...
I know what you're talking about, but I don't think spectro is that kind of game. It would be interesting if Cooler could make an official statement on that though.
...The game mechanic (including deck building) is isolated from the game server. In fact, it is client-side behavior. The server just checks if it works properly (no any cheating), but it can't influence on it.P.S. This is a consequence of Spectro isn't being an online game (where an important part of logic resists on the server only, so it is an integral part of the game), but a standalone game with a centralized multiplayer support.
