I was playing on my iphone the other day and a message popped up saying this app may slow down ur iphone if the dev of this app wont update the app this game wont work on ios 11 which will be released in a few days!!! Any news about this?
The iPhone version won't be updated, if it is incompatible with new IOS, I suppose it will be removed from the AppStore.
Why to let this game die?
I have now that problem, It is not working on ios 11 and what about my purchases?
The same here. Any chance to solve this?
Who can advise, what to do?o
The iOS is pretty bad about maintaining support for apps developed in older versions of iOS. It sets up a cycle where developers are forced to change significant amounts of their programming every 1-3 years. I know a lot of iOS developers (personally I avoid developing for mobile platforms), and they say it is a huge and difficult time sink to keep their apps updated.
Therefore, it makes a lot of sense that once an app is no longer popular or profitable, the developers kind of have no choice but to stop supporting it. The commitment is too ridiculously high, and it's something they'd have to commit to forever to keep updated, not just once to fix a single problem.
Whenever you buy an app that doesn't already have 1,000,000+ users, expect it to be taken down someday... and consider that in your purchase decision.
The PC version of Spectro is still going fairly strong, and I expect it should be playable for years and years to come.
