Greetings! https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLf6ZJm9FLVrR1_OraButmm_n 7Mpzq6f7CThis playlist is dedicated to secrets, mechanics, card combinations and interactions of Spectromancer. This section is mostly aimed at the beginners and players that are not fully involved in game rules. For your convenience each video is supplied with explaining subtitles. All videos are named in English due to the international community that's able to understand this language at least in small portions. And due to the fact that original version of Spectromancer is made in English. Such format makes these videos available for all categories of players. Also you will see something like (F9), (Dea7) and so on in subtitles. These are commonly used designations of cards. For example, (F9) = Fire 9 = Inferno. I've used these designations in all videos to make the viewers more involved in the game and make them understand each other faster independently from their native language. All new videos will be published in 2 languages: Russian / English. Subtitles in all videos are translated in English. Subtitles will be translated also in other languages possibly, if the community will be interested. Subtitles are represented by a wide group of languages that includes: Ð ÑÑÑкий, English, Deutsch, Italiano, Magyar, اÙعربÙØ©, íêµì´, ελληνικά, ä¸å½, Português Thank you for your attention and possible ideas or feedback. Happy viewing! ___________________ List of cards: Ñommunity players from China; special thanks: Dhalsimzhao, fplusf, enterrr (ä¸å½), MrZarboN (Português) Modified by Kealah on 2016-02-09 21:04:00 emittaeb | 2015-08-19 00:35:00 |

I would like to find someone who will help me with the Portuguese language, Spanish and Hindi. srbhkshk | 2015-08-19 14:03:22 |
I could help with Hindi but its unnecessary, internet using Indians all know enough English + not even half of Indians speak Hindi. (and there isn't much of a playerbase from there anyway)

Notify me interesting cases that I have not shown in these videos.
place E1, E11 somewhere to the left of W2 and place E8 exactly to the right of F1 (not very interesting but basic)
when you have exactly 10 fire mana DO NOT place A7 in front of opponent's creature unless you are sure he doesn't have W8 (phoenix has 16 life so it takes 15 damage and you now have 9 fire mana so it dies on the attack)
the little spiders from E7 can block Gb1 (it doesn't move away)
if a little spider is next to W9 and you summon a N4 on it then the N4 will attack in the same turn
Ch5 cannot select a random opponent's power that has less than 2 mana. it will always select one of the powers that have 2 mana or more. the same is true for Gb7
if both you and your opponent are at 19 life and you have 11 fire mana and your opponent has I4 in play then you can safely play F11 - you will win the game
you can play So3 on your own creatures (some people do not realise this)
you can use Gb0 to send an opponent's creature out of the way of an important attacker or (if your opponent only has one free slot in front of your big attacker) you can use it to bring an opponent's important creature like W12 in front of your attacker
place V2 as far to the right as possible. same is true for V4, Gb5, W6 and others
if you summon V7 and the elder dies but the initiates survive and then you summon another V7 then ALL of the initiates are immune to damage (old and new)
Wo3 is very good when the opponent has W6 or when it is fighting a W7 Kealah | 2015-08-20 12:55:23 |
Thanks, Filip. At first I took your system. But then I realized that it is absolutely not obvious for beginners. They will need to refer to your system to know these names and to distinguish one from the other. So I expanded the reduction agendas to 3 of the first character.
yes it is true that a few of those abbreviations would not be obvious for the beginner. using 3 letters would probably be better for your guide

One question popped in.What are those purple squares for? over cards? This is a modification for the game. Version ProSpectro. It shows me what cards have been used. For example, the same mark will be if I watch someone else's game. Conveniently when commenting. Modified by Kealah on 2015-08-30 05:09:33 Jeronimo | 2015-08-29 02:36:02 |
I'm posting this because Kealah asked me help to translate to spanish. I went to youtube to see the actual videos from The Secret of Card, and I will write my thoughts.
It's not strictly necessary to have people rewriting the comments because you can activate ALL world listed languages by this: Configuration (gears icon) -> Subtitles ON (activate English)* -> Translate (activate your native language) If the original video was uploaded with *personal english subtitles, then special marks such as abbreviations of cards will stay.
1) Stop video at 2 secs. 2) Activate manually English subtitles -> The problem with all these many personal translations in the listed options to pick, is that if someone clicks in auto-subtitles icon (the first icon), it will automatically be translated to Chinese (traditional). Scary enough!! 3) Now see below the word "Russian" that there is an additional Translation option. It will translate the special english home-made subtitles to any of the other worldwide listed languages -> Pick "Armenian", it will translate into Armenian while keeping the [Golem Guide (Gol7)] text.
If you ask me: Can these "youtube subtitles" be trusted? I will answer yes. I saw the spanish translations to various videos and it's worth even more that my own translation capacities. ------------------------------------------------------
The Secret of Card videos are nice, but have a major flaw: All videos are played in russian version (instead of english). It ends looking like a niche product, mainly for Belarus/Russia/Ukranian newcomers. If the videos were played in the english version of game, at least people would be able to read the cards descriptions when you hover mouse pointer over them (which allows to predict what is going to happen, seconds before it actually happens).
In an aside note, I don't understand why you want videos to have explanations in all languages. What's the point if the person who doesn't know english, won't understand the phrase [Turn on subtitles] -> this should be the only real thing to multi-translate. I know there has been put effort into manual translation to greek, italian, chinese, german... but it wasn't needed.
You only need a manual english translation (adding abbreviations and math calculations), and a correct video description explaining how to multi-translate the subtitles (has to be short and at least in the 4 main languages: english, russian, spanish, chinese).
Just spend 5 minutes playing with youtube buttons and you will understand how it works. Modified by Jeronimo on 2015-08-29 02:55:38
i'm not sure i understand what you are saying jero are you referring to the auto-translate feature of youtube? dunno about spanish but it sure cannot be trusted for greek subs as far as i have tried
edit: don't get me wrong, they are not too bad actually. however it's definitely obvious that they are a product of automated translation. sometimes you need to stop and think about what was the original text in english so that you understand correctly etc. overall it's very impressive though and more or less gets the job done if you're in need of an average translation

These translator programs are a pile of horsepoo, you rather take a look at translations from a person, that is why we are translating, so that all the details are accurate.
Kealah | 2015-08-30 05:49:28 |
Jeronimo, machine translation does not suit me. It will distort key points. In this case, better to just watch the video without subtitles. I ask for help, because often met with incomprehension in parts of English speech of other people... All videos will be written in Russian. Version of the game will be the Russian. If someone has questions, they can always find the link to the description of all the cards in English.
P.S. For this video the Chinese translation was made by hand.

1) I continue to work on new videos. Share your observations in this topic. We can easily create the most complete set of video guides for your favorite game. 2) Also, I need help in the translation of past and future videos on Greek, Hungarian, Italian, Korean, German and Arabic. Write your contacts, I will go with you to communicate. My Skype: woodykutner. My email: [email protected]3) I want to expand the language base for our video, so that more people can understand the game. The priority is now Spanish, Polish, French and Finnish. If you or your friends once you can help with translations, please post here your contacts. I will contact you to discuss the issue. Share any opinions and suggestions about our common project. We derive the game to a higher level of accessibility to other players. Thanks to all. Kealah | 2016-01-07 05:31:22 |

Some example which could be new/useful to people: - If you cast sorc8 on vamp7/cult7 they still absorb the damages (destroying the creature and dealing the damages are happening at the same time). - In the case of illiusion 3 the opponent's creatures do the damages afterwards (unlike in the case of earth 6). So if the opponent has an ice guard and two creatures with attack 5 and 7 the damage will be 3 + 4 = 7, not (5+7)/2=6. - Vamp 5 deals 6 damage to ice golem with his attack (but not doubles the damages of spells of course). - If you put a Greater Bargul next to a water9 and the water9 dies because of the Bargul's damage, the Bargul won't attack in his frist turn. Not even if he has great abs. Modified by mamoulian on 2016-02-28 00:45:34 Tendou | 2016-02-28 08:48:21 |

- If you cast sorc8 on vamp7/cult7 they still absorb the damages (destroying the creature and dealing the damages are happening at the same time). If you read my reference materials ( http://spectromancer.com/forum.cgi#pageid=4859), it is easy to understand why only Vampire and Reaver suffer during these spells. I deliberately created a reference for all players to minimize the dependence on experimental verification. Modified by Wavelength on 2016-03-01 18:16:58 Wavelength | 2016-03-01 18:16:34 |

It make sense. He's way too busy admiring his own abs (I would too if I had abs like that), and Merfolk Overlord is no longer there to yell "Get back to work!" by the time Bargul would attack. |
