We get a lot of threads on the forum from people that have lost their activation keys. Since the answer is always the same, I think it's worth posting here.
Retrieving it Yourself:
If you still have access to your old emails, search for emails from
[email protected] - your activation key will be inside an email whose subject begins with the phrase "
Order Information".
Note that if you purchased the base game and its expansions
separately, you may need to enter the base game's activation key before you can use the others.
Contacting Support:
If you have purchased Spectromancer through the purchase links on this site or in-game (this includes transactions done with Apus or Plimus), but you cannot find your activation key in your old emails, the support team can usually help retrieve your key for you. Send an email to
[email protected] and please wait at least 3 days before sending a second email or posting to the forums.
Other Issues:
If you have purchased Spectromancer through an outside vendor (such as Steam), you would be best served by contacting that vendor directly.
A few users have reported that their activation key is required
each time they log in. This issue can usually be corrected - email
[email protected] or post in the Problems/Bugs section of the
forum.
We occasionally get asked whether it is okay to activate the game on multiple computers. Yes, this is perfectly fine - there is a limit to the number of computers that can be activated using the same key, but this limit is quite high and an average user will never reach it. If you do ever reach this limit, please email
[email protected] for assistance.
(Note that to prevent abuse, two accounts from the same registration will not be allowed to enter the online lobby at the same time.)From now on, topics created about lost activation keys, or asking for activation keys, will be immediately closed or deleted. If you have tried the remedies listed here and still have not solved your problem, then make a post in Problems/Bugs and be sure to mention what you have tried doing.
